At Northwest Mental Health Management Services, we are honored to celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day this March. These observances offer a meaningful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of women throughout history and within our own organization.

Celebrating Our Women Clients and Staff
Our commitment to mental health is deeply enriched by the dedication, resilience, and compassion of the women we serve and those who serve alongside us. We acknowledge and appreciate the unique perspectives and strengths that our women clients and staff bring to our community. Your stories inspire us daily, and we are committed to supporting and empowering you in every possible way.
Embracing the 2025 Theme: "Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations"
This year's Women's History Month theme, "Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations," emphasizes the pivotal role women play in shaping our future. It encourages us to reflect on the educators, mentors, and leaders who have paved the way for progress and to consider how we can continue this legacy.
Engaging with Women's History Month
We invite our community to engage with the rich history and ongoing contributions of women by exploring resources and participating in events dedicated to Women's History Month. The National Women's History Alliance (NWHA), a leading organization in promoting women's history, offers a wealth of information and educational materials. Participating in International Women's Day
International Women's Day, celebrated annually on March 8th, is a global day recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The 2025 theme, "Accelerate Action," emphasizes swift steps toward equality.
In Portland, Oregon, we can honor this day by supporting and uplifting local women-owned businesses that contribute to our community year-round. Venture Portland has compiled a fantastic list of women-owned businesses to explore, from restaurants and retail shops to service providers. By shopping, dining, and engaging with these businesses, we can make a direct impact in celebrating and empowering women entrepreneurs. Check out the list of featured businesses here: Venture Portland - Women-Owned Businesses.
Whether by attending an event, supporting a local business, or advocating for women's equality, we all have a role in making International Women's Day meaningful in our own communities.
Our Commitment
As we honor these significant observances, Northwest Mental Health Management Services reaffirms our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all women feel valued and empowered. We recognize that the journey toward equality is ongoing, and we are dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote women's rights and well-being.
We encourage everyone to join us in celebrating Women's History Month and International Women's Day, not just in March, but throughout the year. Together, let's continue to educate, inspire, and move forward in unity.
