March 21, 2025
At Northwest Mental Health Management Services, we are honored to recognize World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) on Friday, March 21, 2025. This global awareness day is dedicated to advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of individuals with Down syndrome.
Why March 21?
The date 3/21 symbolizes the third copy of the 21st chromosome, which is characteristic of Down syndrome. It serves as a powerful reminder that individuals with Down syndrome bring unique talents, perspectives, and contributions to our communities.
Celebrating Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
At Northwest Mental Health Management Services, we recognize the incredible work of our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide compassionate, individualized care to individuals with Down syndrome. Our DSPs help foster independence, encourage personal growth, and ensure our clients have access to resources, opportunities, and meaningful social connections. Their dedication is a key part of making our community more inclusive and supportive.
